Haina International Terminals
SANTO DOMINGO
(Dominican Republic) .-
After an investment of $ 3.5 million (130
million pesos), the
company Haina International Terminals (HIT) today launched the Pier 5, the Port of Haina Oriental, which will allow you to receive
ships all types ofcargo.
The changes are in line, as explained in a note, with the new
demands of international trade and
regional trends generated by the evolution
of both markets
and the expansion is subject to the Panama
Canal.
The structure is of
reinforced concrete piers and steel reinforced, showing an increase in its operating
area.
The opening ceremony was led by Teddy Heinsen, chairman of HIT, who said
that investment is focused on the purposes of the
company to become the largestDominican trade logistics
support.
The Port of Haina is receiving 70 percent
of Dominican
exports and imports,
receiving about 140 cargo ships each
month.
The firm operates such terminal
HIT state since 2001, performing ever sinceinvestments of
over $ 45
million.
